“I had the pleasure of working with Siobhan for Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki / Auckland Arts Festival (AAF) 2022 where she came on board as Festival Publicist. I had heard nothing but praise for Siobhan’s prior experiences with AAF and was thrilled when she agreed to join again for another season. The rumours were true – she was a true seasoned professional that just “gets” the arts through and through. Siobhan is resourceful and truly digs deep to understand shows – even with a programme as large and complex as this festival – leaving no stone unturned when trying to share the stories of our artists with audiences.

Unfortunately, AAF 2022 was another year with COVID interruptions, this time including the cancellation of all live shows and events (51 in total), with a pivot to a strictly “online, outdoors and visual arts” festival one month out from opening. While it wasn’t my first time managing COVID crisis communications, I certainly sighed a deep exhale of relief having Siobhan and her vast knowledge and expertise alongside me on the waka. She helped ensure we were smooth sailing all the way to the end.”

Ashley M. David - Head of Marketing and Communications
Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki | Auckland Arts Festival

“Siobhan is the hardest working publicist I know- always working to discover new angles, pitch great ideas and support our projects with energy, insight and a fantastic sense of what makes a good story. Siobhan’s networks are second to none, and she quickly works to establish trust, understanding and rapport with everyone she works with.

“As a regional venue, we particularly value Siobhan’s excellent understanding of regional media and ability to pitch stories that make sense to local editors. Whether working on a sales campaign, a profile-raising project, or leading advocacy or reputation management comms, Siobhan is the person you want on your team and is always at the top of our speed dial list”

James Wilson - FORMER Manager, Arts and Culture
Tauranga City Council

“I worked with Siobhan across three Auckland Arts Festivals. A festival is a complex beast with an incredible number of plates spinning at once, more often than not competing with each other for focus, support and ultimately media exposure.

“Siobhan is of one of a rare breed of publicists who is able to operate on all strategic and operational levels, with an unstinting amount of energy and nous. She drove a significant increase in media exposure across the festival over the years. I would have no hesitation recommending Siobhan, and would grab, with enthusiasm, any opportunity to work with her again.”

Thierry Pannetier - Former Marketing and Communications Director
Auckland Arts Festival

Siobhan is well connected, has great media contacts and a tenacious attitude to getting as much coverage as possible for the client. She is also an absolute pleasure to work with, always lots of fun and our clients always love her. I would highly recommend using Siobhan.”

Michelle Kotevski - Former Executive Producer

“We’re so glad Siobhan moved back to New Zealand! She immediately ‘got us’ – not just what we do, but the culture we strive to emulate. Her transparent and collaborative approach works well with our approach; we found every step of the publicity and comms part of the event to be utterly professional and personable. Wonder if all this exposure to violins will make her want to pull out her cello again after all these years?”

Anne Rodda - Executive Director
